Want to be crowned March’s king of the 1 in 20? Want to head to sunny Noosa for the ride of your life? Well this one’s for you!
To win one of three sets of tickets for two to the 2019 Noosa Classic, all you have to do is join the Bicycling Australia Strava Club and post the best time on Melbourne’s famous 1 in 20 climb for the month of March.
Male & female winners will be selected from three categories: 35 to 44, 45 to 54 & 54 to 64. The competition opened on March 1 and closes on Sunday March 31. Winners will be announced and contacted on Monday April 1.
The Noosa Classic crew will be keeping a close eye on the competition, so tag your mates and have fun smashing the 1 in 20 segment!
About The 1 In 20
The 1 in 20 is one of Victoria’s most popular climbs and stretches 6.7km from The Basin towards the Dandenong Ranges at an average gradient of 4%. It starts off at a reasonable tilt, and then riders are rewarded with an approximately 1km false-flat segment. It finishes similarly to how it starts, with the steady 3-4% climbing punctuated by some steeper bursts.
The 2019 Noosa Classic will be Bicycling Australia’s 6th Gran Fondo event after 3 x Bowral Classics, last year’s inaugural Clare Classic in South Australia, and last year’s debut Noosa Classic. For full details and to register visit www.noosaclassic.com.au
