Team Sunweb Launches New Liv Climbing Race Bike For Giro Rosa

With potential stage wins in sight, Team Sunweb have unveiled their new race bike for the 2017 Giro Rosa. Aptly named after Mount Everest, the Langma fills the gap in the Liv range between their aerodynamic road bike Envie and their endurance-oriented Avail.

Pocket Rocket and team sprinter Coryn Rivera along with Team Sunweb were instrumental in the development and testing of the Langma Advanced SL 0, and expressed excitement to really test the bike out at this year’s Giro Rosa.

“It’s agile and rides really well,” said Rivera, agreeing that Langma will give her the edge to power through the climbs and still be fresh for any pivotal sprints to the finish line.

While the Langma Advanced SL 0 won’t be replacing their aero-framed Envie’s, the Team Sunweb women will have the option to pick their weapon of choice based on the terrain of the stage.

With bike weight being the biggest game-changer for climbers, Liv engineers have designed the Langma Advanced SL 0 to be the lightest bike in the Liv arsenal, weighing in at just 6.05kg for a size small. At the top of the commercial line is the Langma Advanced SL 0 which features Liv’s highest grade composite frame, an integrated seatpost and a redesigned stem for optimized stiffness to weight ratio.

The complete model comes equipped with SRAM Red eTap, Quarq power cranks and Giant WheelSystems with Gavia Race 0 tubeless tyres to boost comfort and efficiency.

While disc brakes make an appearance on the lower-end models, the Langma Advanced SL 0 maintains rim brakes as their top-end offering.
