Led by multiple grand tour winner Alberto Contador and double Giro d’Italia winner Ivan Basso, the team look forward to their busy race schedule – but development is more important than wins according to ‘El Pistolero’.

“I am very happy for sure, and now we have riders who can maybe win more races,” the retired Spanish legend said.

“The object of the team is not to win 30 races a year … it is to make good professionals. For us it’s important to pass on a good work ethic for when they pass on to professional.”

Francisco Javier Contador, General Manager of the new team, said partnering with KOO was an exciting move.
“We really see value in working with innovative companies with a passion for design and high performance products,” he said.
