VIDEO: La Vuelta Stage 4 Highlights And On Board Camera Action

The Grand Tour action continued last night (Australian time) as some of the world’s top riders battled it out at La Vuelta in Spain.

One of the toughest, most mountainous editions in the event’s history, the 2016 Vuelta a Espana has attracted some of the biggest names of the sport. Team Sky’s Chris Froome, Tinkoff’s Alberto Contador, Movistar’s Nairo Quintana and Orica-Bike Exchange’s Esteban Chaves are just four of the 198 riders tackling this year’s race.

Here are highlights of the 163km Stage 4.

With each passing Grand Tour fans are getting closer to the action thanks to the rollout of lightweight but high-quality on-board cameras. The vision from these devices gives us an insight into not just the intense shoulder-to-shoulder racing, but also the spectacular scenery each stage offers.

Here is a highlights package of the on-board action from last night’s stage. And a warning … it’ll make you want to pack your bike and fly to Spain.

La Vuelta a Espana continues tonight. Bicycling Australia will have a full wrap of highlight plus more photos and videos here on our website early on Thursday.
