Save The Date: Ipswich Festival Criterium On Saturday May 6 As Club Celebrates 125 Years

The South East Queensland city of Ipswich will be the place to be on Saturday May 6 for the thrilling Ipswich Festival Criterium.

With 2017 marking the 125th anniversary of the Ipswich Cycling Club, organisers are expecting the high-profile event to attract big crowds and encourage more locals to take up the sport.

Hosted by Ipswich City Council as part of the annual festival, the criterium racing kicks off at 12 noon with Elite A & B Men, Elite Women and Masters A & B riders events. Top cycling talent will be on display including recently crowned Individual Pursuit World Champion Jordan Kerby.

Held on a tight, 1km street circuit in the Ipswich CBD, organisers have thanked the city council for their generous support, for closing the roads and providing an attractive prize pool. Graded riders from all Cycling Australia registered clubs across the nation are invited to attend and entry is $30.
