Ready To Roll: Stage 1 Of The Tour Down Under This Morning

The 2017 WorldTour season officially starts at 10:30am today as the World’s top riders roll out of Unley, just south of the city.

The undulating 145km course will take the pro peloton north to the Barossa before finishing in the small town of Lyndoch at around 2:30pm. The final, gentle 3km descent is sure to assist with a thrilling sprint finish – who will be first first to wear the Ochre Jersey for 2017?

Evening Criterium Action

Too much cycling is never enough and after Stage 1 of the men’s race fans will be making a beeline for Victoria Park in Central Adelaide for the final event of the Santos Women’s Tour. From 6:30pm the women will ride a one hour plus two lap criterium.

Full results of today’s racing along with tonight’s criterium will be published on the Bicycling Australia website as well as our Facebook page.
